Highlights from our signature Fundraising Events in support of Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto.
Canada’s Number One Variety Show,“It’s Always Something”, an evening of comedy, music and dance in support of Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto, took place on Saturday, November 19th at Sony Centre for The Performing Arts.
Returning to host for a ninth year was Canada’s internationally acclaimed Gemini Award-winning comedian Russell Peters. Russell was joined on Sony Centre’s stage by another all-star cast of comedians, musicians and dancers. All donated their time and talents to Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto, a registered charity providing free social and emotional support programs for anyone touched by cancer – kids, teens and adults, along with their family and friends.
Joining Russell was 8-time Juno Award winner Jann Arden, award-winning country superstar Johnny Reid; legendary singer-songwriter Andy Kim; the master of improvisational comedy, Gemini Award-winning Colin Mochrie; acclaimed R&B artist Sean Jones; and rising singer-songwriter Kayla Diamond.
All proceeds from “It’s Always Something” goes to support Gilda’s Club, Greater Toronto, named after famed Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner. In its 15 years, the show has raised more than $5 million to fulfill Gilda’s wish that “no one should face cancer alone.”

Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
Sunday October 16th, 2016
Gilda’s Club GT has participated in the Scotiabank Marathon for the past 9 years and the enthusiasm keeps growing. In 2010, we placed 3rd in the fundraising category among 120 charities and placed 3rd again in 2013 out of 185 charities raising $107,000. Once again Gilda’s Club hosted a complimentary brunch right after the run as a thank you to all our participants.
