Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto is known in the cancer community as a leader in programming for children and teens. Our unique program for children & youth is highly valued by the families who participate, and health care professionals in the community.
Programs are professionally facilitated by Child Life Specialists, Social Workers, and dedicated volunteers. Our children & youth programs are specifically designed to meet children’s needs when cancer is part of their lives.
Teen Doc Talk
Tuesdays at 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Teen Doc Talk is a weekly professionally-led, peer-support program that features a unique multi-faceted digital storytelling experience for teens whose lives have been touched by cancer to promote creativity, self-confidence, self-expression, and community.
This program culminates in a spectacular showcase at the end of June. Find your voice in this safe, no pressure environment. With hands-on filming, photography, and fashion, with a dash of performance poetry, you will learn a lot and have fun!
This program is designed for teens ages 12 – 18 whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Registration for this group is required. To register your child for this group, please contact Tory Hagerman, Family Coordinator, at (416) 214-9898 ext. 212 firstname.lastname@example.org
