Member BBQ 2019


On June 11th, families and friends gathered outside of 24 Cecil Street for Gilda’s Annual Member BBQ, to connect and kick-off the summer! An array of delicious and healthy dishes were served up by enthusiastic volunteers and fun activities like ‘Human Bingo’ were enjoyed by all. This is an event that members, volunteers and staff look forward to each and every year.

The value of community is truly personified during social events like these. The cancer experience may be what ties this population together, but it is the connections that are fostered and the mutual support that is offered that sustains this community.
Thank you to Chef Amy Symington for providing a variety of delicious vegan dishes to accompany the BBQ and to Gelato Fresco for donating 300 push-cones for all to enjoy! And much gratitude to the teams of volunteers from AstraZeneca and RBC, along with Gilda's Club long-time volunteers who all worked together to create a fun-filled day!
