1. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION: 

Member Information

We collect personal information directly from you including your name, email address, telephone number, information about your history of illness and other relevant details, when you interact with us through our website or directly about our Services. 

We collect personal information to provide programs and services and to facilitate ongoing communication about said services. The information gathered is also used in order to keep program statistics, to contact you about cancelled programs, waiting lists, new programs, and for opportunities to support Gilda’s Toronto. 

Donor Information:  

When you make a donation to Gilda’s Toronto, we may collect payment details, such as credit card information, to process your donation securely. However, we do not store or retain complete financial information, such as credit card numbers, after the transaction is completed. Donor payment information is processed through our service provider, Blackbaud.  

We use your personal information to process your donations, and to send acknowledgments, and provide you with information about our charitable activities, events and initiatives where permitted by law. 

Communicating with Us:  

We may collect information regarding your interactions with our organization, such as emails, telephone calls, and other forms of communication, to provide better services and support. We use your personal information to communicate with you regarding your inquiries, requests and updates related to our organization. 

We also analyze personal information you provide to better understand our members, donors, supporters and website visitors, enabling us to improve our programs, campaigns and outreach efforts. All statistics used in creating reports are aggregated and anonymous. 

We also use your personal information to comply with applicable laws, regulations or legal processes. 

  1. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY 

Cookies. The Website uses cookies (small files containing program code that reside on your computer) to provide usage statistics about the Website, and to understand where visitors learn about the Website. Log Files. When you use the Website, our servers automatically record certain information in server logs. We use this information to optimize the Website and fix technical issues.
